Sonant Arts explores ways in which bridges can be built and connections made, through art and sound. Alongside producing, we specialise in coaching for performers, and using performance as a means of coaching individuals from any industry.
Sonant Arts was founded by Orlanda Bryars, a professional Soprano and ‘cellist specialising in New Music and Early repertoire. She has played an active role in the Classical and Contemporary Music scene in London and across Europe; she has performed at London’s Royal Opera House, Beijing International Film Festival and New York’s Carnegie Hall among others. She is the founder and artistic director of ‘Sonant Ensemble’, Early Music Choral Ensemble.
Orlanda has over 10 years of corporate experience within Banking and Financial Services in London. She moved to Australia in 2015 where she took over the running of Chronology Arts, a Not For Profit Artists Agency promoting Australian Composers and New Music Performers. She was a board member of The Substation, a multimedia arts venue in Melbourne's West. Whilst in Australia she regularly performed as a soprano with the Consort of Melbourne, and Polyphonic Voices, and as a cellist with Corpus Medicorum Charity Orchestra.
She moved home to London in January 2018 and founded Sonant Arts.
